How to talk about books you haven't read.
So this Frenchman Bayard wrote a book, about how to talk about books you have not read. It’s been translated into English, so the excuse of not reading French, is, what they say, “poof !”.
First and most important, of course, is to have no sense of shame. Second, particularly if you have to talk with someone who has actually read the book, say, the author (ha! you’re in trouble now, huh!), the best approach is to talk about your ideas of what the book should be. You did take care of the first step, didn’t you ?

Okay, we know even without reading the book that we don’t have to read it to talk about it, but … it’s already on overstock.com ? Why did they even bother to print any ?
