the Gita - first verse

It seems so "western" to want to interpret works of art and works of Truth, in one's own way. Yet here the commentary points the reader to "try to understand it without personally motivated interpretations."    As in: there is an ultimate truth out there, and perhaps your place in that reality is vanishingly small and trivial. Wondering, then, is that part of understanding the universe?

In this view, your personal interpretation and motivation, will lead the reader astray.
