The Narrative Fallacy

or, the story-telling imperative. Telling the story puts things into an organized structure which can be remembered. But the story simplifies, categorizes, Platonizes, and forces the world into an artificial (?) structure that perhaps does not acknowlege the possibility of the existence of things outside the simplification.
